Based on the critical success of Oriol Artigas, one could be forgiven for assuming that wine has always been his passion. However, Oriol initially started making wine casually, simply to enjoy with friends. It was only gradually that he realized his true calling and devoted himself full-time to winemaking in 2011. He loved how winemaking allowed him to showcase his homeland and roots, and how it allowed him to meet new people and discover the world.
His over-arching philosophy is to “cultivate the vineyards in the most natural and least interventionist way possible, to allow the grapes to express in the most intense way the landscape from which they come.”
This particular wine is an embodiment of his passion and dedication. It's full of character, influenced by the chalk soils and marine air of the Alella terroir. The 2021 vintage is delicate, with the palate and nose showcasing the salt, sea air, and chalky mineral character of the Pansa Blanca grape, with just a hint of citrus.
