What is Playlist?
Playlist brings wine discovery to life. We're not about fancy wine jargon or chasing ultra-rare vintages – we're here to make exploring wine fun, accessible, and memorable. Every bottle tells a story, and we bring that story to life through its soundtrack.
Through our interactive app, live events, and community of tastemakers, we curate exceptional wines and pair them with music that matches their vibe. Whether you're new to wine or a seasoned enthusiast, we invite you to discover wines in a fresh, engaging way that speaks your language.
Ordering & Shipping
What are your shipping rates?
Shipping rates are calculated based on your location and order size. We offer free shipping on orders over $150. You'll see exact shipping costs during checkout before completing your purchase.
What shipping carriers do you use?
UPS is our preferred carrier but the wine may come via UPS or FedEx. You can also use Via delivery service to set your wine for pick-up at a local spot.
How long will it take to receive my wine?
We typically process orders within 1-2 business days. Delivery times vary by location, but most orders arrive within 3-7 business days. You'll receive tracking information via email once your order ships.
Where do you ship?
Playlist ships everywhere in the contiguous US, except for the following states: AL, AK, AR, AL, DE, HI, ME, MS, RI, UT.
* We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, signature is required for most shipments.Â
Note:Â We reserve the right to change this list at any time, and if this happens you will be notified that your order was canceled and issued a refund.
Do I need to be home to receive my wine delivery?
Yes. By law, an adult 21 or older must be present to sign for the delivery. We cannot leave alcohol deliveries unattended.
Our delivery partner will make up to three delivery attempts. If no one is available to sign after the third attempt, your order will be returned to our warehouse. In this case, you'll be charged a return shipping and restocking fee equal to our standard shipping rates:
- 1-6 bottles: $24.95
- 7-12 bottles: $39.95
- 13+ bottles: $44.95
We recommend ensuring someone is available to receive your delivery or considering shipping to your workplace if permitted.
Can I have my order sent to a pickup location instead of my home?
Yes! We recommend this convenient option if you're not sure you'll be home to sign for the delivery. Here's how it works:
- After placing your order, you'll receive instructions to select a pickup location through our delivery partner Via.delivery
- Many convenient pickup locations are typically available nearby
- Your order will arrive at your chosen location within 1-5 business days
- You'll receive notifications via email and text through Via.delivery
- Bring your government-issued photo ID to pick up your package
- You have 7 days to collect your order once it arrives
If someone else will pick up your order, they must bring:
- Their government-issued photo ID
- The tracking number
- Your name (as the order recipient)
Note: Orders not picked up within 7 days will be returned to our warehouse and processed as a return.
Will weather conditions affect my shipment?
The short answer: It might. We take extra precautions when shipping during hot or cold weather to protect your wine. However, if weather conditions could impact your order, we'll contact you directly to discuss options and ensure your wine arrives in perfect condition.
Wine Drop
What is a Drop?
A drop is our wine club service where world-class tastemakers curate exceptional wine collections just for you. Our tastemakers include head sommeliers from 3-Michelin-star restaurants and renowned wine bar owners who hand-select each bottle. Every Drop comes with its own curated playlist, creating a complete wine experience.
What are my subscription options?
Choose from three Wine Drop sizes:
- 3 bottles
- 6 bottles
- 12 bottles
Select your preferred delivery frequency:
- Monthly
- Every two months
- Every three months
When will I receive my Drop?
Drops typically ship during the first half of each month. Billing occurs on the 1st of each month for active subscriptions.
Can I customize my Drop?
We don't offer wine swaps. Our tastemakers carefully curate each collection to create a cohesive experience – you've hired us for our expertise, after all! Each Drop tells a unique story through both wine and music.
What perks do Drop members receive?
As a Wine Drop member, you'll enjoy exclusive benefits including:

How do I manage my subscription?
You have full control of your subscription through your account. You can easily:
- Pause your subscription
- Cancel anytime
- Update your delivery frequency
- Change your bottle count
Sessions
What are Playlist Sessions?
Playlist Sessions reimagine wine tasting as an interactive party experience. At each Session, we guide you through a curated wine progression while you use our interactive app to collaborate with other attendees on music pairings. It's not your traditional wine tasting – it's a social experience that brings wine and music together in an entirely new way.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
If you're not completely satisfied, just email us at hello@playlist.wine within 10 days of purchase and we'll work with you to make it right. Just keep in mind that you'll need to cover any return shipping costs or pickup fees based on your order size and location.
