Fun fact - the Jurassic Period was named after the mountains that dominate this region where rock from the era were first discovered. Vineyards, typically located on the lower slopes of the mountains, benefit from the limestone soil which imparts unique character to the wines.
Domaine Rolet, created in 1942 by Désiré Rolet, is one of the jewels of the Jura region. The family’s goal then and today is to maintain a balance between tradition and modernity while showcasing the richness of the terroir.
