Domaine Victor Sornin - Beaujolais Village Rouge

Playlist’s Song Pairing:

Tame Impala - The Less I Know The Better
Tame Impala - The Less I Know The Better

The song that sparked a thousand memes describes the pain of a man feeling left out in a love triangle, illustrated with a complex arrangement of groovy bass hooks, sensual piano chords, and moody synth textures.

It’s a crazy mismatch of a song - sad but celebratory, wilfully nostalgic yet makes the old feel new again, familiar yet fresh – and it all just works. If everything has been done before, you need to do it better or different. ‘The Less I Know The Better’ excels at doing both.

So fill your glass, throw on the song, and experience it again - for the very first time.

Beaujolais Village Rouge

Region: Burgundy, France

Vintage: 2020

Grapes: Gamay

Color: Red

Frederic took over the family estate in 1986 as the 9th generation of his wine producing family. Today he farms with his 17 year old son Victor, whose name and artwork are featured on several of his wines, including this Gamay. Victor himself is currently taking a “vigne et vin” program in school and plans to continue the family legacy.

This organic Beaujolais is made from 40-60 year old vines and is what all Beaujolais should aspire to be. Bright and aromatic, there is an abundance of cherry and pomegranate aromas. The palate is scrumptious and features tangy fruit and a refreshing aftertaste.

Go ahead and put a little chill on this and imagine you're at your favorite Parisian bistro.
